Our Family

Three generations of our family have farmed in Sonoma beginning in 1927.

First Generation

Maria and Vittorio Sangiacomo immigrated from Italy, met and married in San Francisco, and settled on the home ranch in 1927. They were the first members of our family to till this soil.

Second Generation

Maria and Vittorio’s four children — Angelo, Buck, Lorraine and Bob — grew up on the ranch and joined the family business in their early twenties. Angelo and his wife Diane, Buck and his wife Sue, Bob, and Lorraine led the transition from peargrowing to grapegrowing and oversaw the large expansion of the family business. They all — with the exception of Bob who passed away in 2006 —  continue to be involved daily in all aspects of the business.

Third Generation

Angelo and Diane’s three children — Mike, Steve and Mia — grew up on the ranch and learned the ropes early in life, tagging along on ranch rounds with their father, uncles Bob and Buck, and Aunt Lorraine. Today, Michael and his wife Whitney, Steve and his wife Connie, and Mia and her husband Mike Pucci work hard to ensure ever increasing levels of quality in the vineyards and that the family legacy is passed on to future generations.
