Made from the Dijon clone 115 and the Pommard clone, the 2012 Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard is outstanding. For me, it conjures up memories of some of the great Domaine Parent Pommard premier crus from 1964 and 1966. Meaty notes of jammy black cherries, earth, forest floor and a touch of cola jump from the glass of this dark plum/ruby-hued 2012. It boasts a full-bodied, rich, generous mouthfeel, oozes with glycerin and fruit, and finishes impressively. This sexy, full-throttle, meaty Pinot Noir can be enjoyed over the next 4-5 years. $49
