Ranked #62 in 2008 Top 100. The Neyers family produced its first wines in 1992, and highly regarded winemaker Ehren Jordan is a partner and consultant. The grapes come from a vineyard owned by the Sangiacomo family that is located on a steep, south-facing slope in the Petaluma Gap area of Sonoma Coast. The vine cuttings for much of the 12 acres are said to have come from some reputable addresses, such as Cote-Rotie, Cornas and Hermitage, hence the wine’s beefy, peppery personality. 1,155 cases made. $30
