The VíMaria is a barrel-selection blend each year. The 2017 Pinot Noir VíMaria, a blend of three barrels, was aged 16 months in 66% new French oak. Grapes were harvested on September 9 and September 20. Pale to medium ruby in color, it opens with aromas of dried rose petal, forest floor and eucalyptus with crushed red cherries, cranberry, potpourri and orange peel over a perfumed undercurrent. It’s medium-bodied and intensely flavored but delicately expressed, with loads of delineated fruits and spices, and framed by grainy tannins and juicy freshness, finishing long and flavorful. This has loads of potential layers yet to evolve. 78 cases were made.. $80
